Born in Santa Monica, California, Rachel grew up around musicians and artists.  She began painting at seventeen, with an interest in Mayan, Egyptian and tribal art. Working with a brilliant color palette and geometric designs, her style has developed into something unique.   Over the last decade Rachel has worked as an actor and musician, but for the next decade she plans to focus on painting professionally.

Artist Statement: "My work is about color and balance. I'm playing with color fields, space, and geometric constructions, using original graphic motifs to enhance the designs. The beauty of abstract is that it can move beyond ideas and words.  It is to me an expression of the spiritual, and the indefinable.  I explore to find what catches the eye.  What excites the senses?  What is beautiful?"
